3 Healthy & Easy Snack Recipes to Curb a Sweet Tooth

Protein Balls

I always make a big batch and keep them in the freezer. I’ve been obsessed with healthy raw treats, including these type of little bites… but would always buy them, get them at cafes, and never make them myself. That was until I realized how easy it was, and how creative you can get with it. They’re actually fun to make since you can add any mix-ins you want, and don’t have to follow an exact recipe. However, here is a recipe to follow… just feel free to change things up to whatever you like best!

  • 1 cup of oats

  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder

  • 1/2 cup of sunbutter (or any nut/seed butter you like)

  • 1/3 cup of honey (or any sweeter of choice - dates, agave, maple syrup)

  • Dash of cinnamon, vanilla, and almond milk

  • Chocolate chips, coconut flakes (whatever-mix ins you like)

  • *For the protein powder I always use this one (you can use my code ALYSSA15 for a discount) - it is the best in my opinion because it actually helps with digestive support, and doesn’t bloat me like every other one I’ve tried (hehe cute).

**These do not require baking. You truly just mix up the ingredients, roll into balls, and store in the fridge in a container and pop one whenever you want something sweet or are getting hangry or snacky but waiting for dinner… they’re perfect.

Breakfast Cookies (but really have them anytime)

Rice Cake with SunButter & Honey

IMG_7001.JPG

Okay so during quarantine I developed a couple of obsessions — one being SUNBUTTER. If you don’t know, it’s really just ground up sunflower seeds… so if you have a nut allergy, this is also a great alternative. To be honest, I hated it at first. It was too bitter for me, and I didn’t get the hype at all. Then one day I decided to give it another chance, so I took a date and dipped it in the SunButter jar (I’m an animal) and then drizzled honey all over it… and for just a second I literally forgot about all the shit going on in the world and was in state (for the first time in 2020) of PURE BLISS.

Sorry, I get so passionate about things like butters, lattes, and other weird things…

The only thing that was lacking with this beautiful mix of ingredients was a CRUNCH. So, I took a rice cake this time and then lathered SunButter all over, and then spread honey all over it. And BOOM. My new obsession. The perfect snack. Sometimes I even add some cacao nibs, raspberries, or granola if I’m feeling real wild. Give it a shot, and let me know what you think. I hope it lives up to my extreme hype.

I hope you guys love these recipes as much as I do! And be sure to let me know what you think if you try them!

Xx
